The history of the development of a general plan of Olbian hill-fort is of interest in two main aspects: deciphering of the 19th century plans made by the early researchers, where some survived building remains or trenches of their location were recorded, and preparing the general plan based on data being obtained during the archaeological excavations. In the article, briefly described are the main stages of the process of preparation the modern general plan of Olbia, the 19th and the 20th centuries plans, and the history of the development of the sources database for a general city-plan based on the architectural and building remains uncovered during the archaeological excavations.
