Some noble Scythians could speak Greek and kept the Greek-speaking and writing interpreters around themselves. Therefore, it can be assumed that deals with the Hellenes were not only sealed by the vows, but also concluded in written form. However, despite the close communication of many years, the Scythians had a poor understanding of the Greeks’ mentality, and it also concerns the Greeks’ understanding of their barbarian neighbours. The Scythian rulers viewed their Greek colonizers as useful trade dealers who supplied them with wine, various luxuries, tableware, expensive arms, etc. The Greek goldsmiths working on the Scythian nobles’ demand traveled to Scythia to find the real life for the realization the proposed plots from the Scythian tales. In number of cases, Scythian kings obtained the possibilities to lay the Greek states on the north coast of the Black Sea under tribute, and since the 5th century often profited the predatory attacks on Greek cities and their chora. At the same time, the Scythians supplied Greek army with their soldiers in Ancient Greek states on the north coast of the Black Sea
