Археологічні комплекси Х — початку ХІ ст. з городища Замкова гора у Новгород-Сіверському (за матеріалами досліджень 2014—2015 рр.)

 Romny culture materials obtained during the excavations at Zamkova Hora hill-fort in Novhorod-Soverskyi in 2014 and 2015 are presented to the scientific circles. The research was conducted in the north-eastern part of the site. The works resulted in the discovery of a series of objects dated by various periods. Two of them (structures 1 and 4) are referred to Romny culture. Both structures’ walls are oriented by four corners of the world. The size of deepened part of the structure 1 is 4,60 × 4,50 m. Its foundation pit had a framework and pillars bordering. There was a stove of wattle and doub in the north-western corner. Structure 4 was partly covered by the excavation area, therefore its total area and constructive peculiarities were not ascertained. The goods discovered in foundation pits of the objects are quite scarce. Despite this fact, ceramic assemblage was used to specify the structures’ chronology. Typical for the ceramics is a combination of handmade and wheel-made products which are best represented by the materials from the stove in the structure 1. Analysis of the upper part of wheel-made vessels and a comparison of the obtained results with the typological developments of I.H. Sarachov allowed the author to date the objects studied by the second half of the 10th century and the beginning of the 11th century.
