The cable metal elements grounding is proposed to do before measurements in order to reduce the degree of surface charges action. It is experimentally revealed that the contact potential difference is a sensitive indicator of polymer insulation aging (oxidation) processes. Показана динамика изменения контактной разности потенциалов силовых кабелей со сшитой полиэтиленовой изоляцией в исходном состоянии и после дополнительного терморадиационного старения. Предложено проводить заземление металлических элементов кабеля перед измерениями для уменьшения степени влияния поверхностных зарядов. Экспериментально установлено, что контактная разность потенциалов является чувствительным показателем к процессам старения (окисления) полимерной изоляции. Показана динаміка зміни контактної різниці потенціалів силових кабелів зі зшитою поліетиленовою ізоляцією в початковому стані та після додаткового терморадіаційного старіння. Запропоновано проводити заземлення металевих елементів кабелю перед початком вимірювань для зменшення ступеню впливу поверхневих зарядів. Експериментально встановлено, що контактна різниця потенціалів є чутливим показником до процесів старіння (окислення) полімерної ізоляції.
