In the work was studied the landfill in Tishna village of Mezhigorskiy district of Zakarpattya region. It was revealed that this landfill is operated with violations of requirements of environmental legislation, norms and standards of environmental safety. The chemical composition of soils at Tishna landfill was studied. In the soil samples taken in the territory of the landfill, found a large amount of nitrite and nitrate ions, which is much higher than a similar indicator of control soils. In order to determine the impact of landfills on the health of the population of the district using statistical data, a comparison of morbidity and disease prevalence among the population of Mezhigorskiy district and Zakarpattia region by major classes of diseases for the period 2015-2017. The authors have established that the presence of unauthorized dumps may contribute to an increase in the incidence of diseases of the following classes: the nervous system, some infectious and parasitic diseases, endocrine system, eating disorders and metabolic disorders, injuries, poisoning and some other consequences of exposure to external factors, diseases of the blood and hematopoietic organs and certain disorders involving the immune mechanism. Серед великої кількості екологічних проблем на сьогодні своєю актуальністю відзначаються проблеми екологічного стану ґрунтів, оскільки їх забруднення різноманітними антропогенними забруднювачами призводить не тільки до їх втрати, але й до поширеності хвороб населення. В ході роботи було вивчено стан полігону с. Тішна Міжгірського району Закарпатської області та виявлено, що даний полігон експлуатується з порушеннями вимог природоохоронного законодавства, норм та стандартів екологічної безпеки.Проведено дослідження хімічного складу ґрунтів сміттєзвалища в с. Тішне. В пробах ґрунтів, відібраних на території сміттєзвалища, виявлено збільшену кількість нітрит-іонів та нітрат-іонів, що значно перевищує аналогічний показник контрольних ґрунтів. Встановлено, що наявність несанкціонованих сміттєзвалищ може сприяти підвищенню рівня показників захворюваності за наступними класами хвороб: нервової системи, деякі інфекційні та паразитарні хвороби, ендокринної системи, розлади харчування та порушення обміну речовин, травми, отруєння та деякі інші наслідки дії зовнішніх чинників, хвороби крові й кровотворних органів та окремі порушення із залученням імунного механізму.
