description The article explores the theoretical and practical aspects of the impact of digitalization on the efficiency of public administration in Ukraine. The author analyzes the key areas of digital transformation in the public sector, particularly the implementation of information and communication technologies in administrative service delivery, decision-making processes, internal operations of government institutions, and communication with citizens. Special attention is given to the use of big data analytics and artificial intelligence technologies in public administration. It is substantiated that big data represents a strategic resource for modern governance, enabling more accurate decision-making, efficient planning, cost reduction, and improved quality of public services. The paper provides examples of practical implementation of these tools in Ukraine, such as through the digital platforms “Diia” and “Trembita”, as well as in the fields of healthcare, education, social protection, environmental monitoring, public safety, finance, and archiving. The study outlines the main barriers to digitalization in Ukrainian regions, including limited access to high-speed Internet in rural areas, low levels of digital literacy among the population and public servants, and insufficient civic engagement in the use of e-services. It is noted that successful digital transformation requires a comprehensive approach, which includes infrastructure development, updates to the legal and regulatory framework, improvement of digital competencies, ensuring cybersecurity, and promoting citizen participation in digital governance processes. In conclusion, the article presents recommendations for improving digital tools in public administration, aimed at strengthening democratic institutions, increasing public trust in government, and enhancing the quality and accessibility of public services.

У статті досліджено теоретичні та практичні аспекти впливу цифровізації на ефективність державного управління в Україні. Проаналізовано основні напрями цифрової трансформації публічного сектору, зокрема впровадження інформаційно-комунікаційних технологій у процеси надання адміністративних послуг, прийняття управлінських рішень, організацію внутрішньої взаємодії органів влади та комунікації з громадянами. Окрему увагу приділено використанню аналітики великих даних та технологій штучного інтелекту в системі державного управління. Обґрунтовано, що великі дані є стратегічним ресурсом сучасного врядування, який дозволяє забезпечити підвищення точності управлінських рішень, ефективне планування, зниження витрат та покращення якості обслуговування громадян. Наведено приклади практичного застосування таких інструментів в Україні, зокрема в межах цифрових платформ «Дія», «Трембіта», у сфері охорони здоров’я, освіти, соціального захисту, екології, безпеки, фінансів та архівної справи. Схарактеризовано основні перешкоди на шляху цифровізації регіонів: обмежений доступ до швидкісного Інтернету в сільській місцевості, низький рівень цифрової грамотності населення та державних службовців, недостатня залученість громадян до використання електронних послуг. Зазначено, що успішна цифрова трансформація потребує комплексного підходу, який охоплює розвиток інфраструктури, оновлення нормативно-правової бази, підвищення цифрової компетентності, забезпечення кібербезпеки та активізацію участі громадян у процесах електронного урядування. У висновках сформульовано рекомендації щодо вдосконалення цифрових рішень у сфері публічного управління, які мають сприяти зміцненню демократичних інститутів, зростанню довіри до влади та досягненню вищої якості надання публічних послуг.
