Summary:The paper presents the results of systematic studies of coercive force Hc and metal texture in manufacture of cylinders from 30KhGSA high-strength steel. It is shown that for a fast selection of welding and heat treatment modes for critical welded structures it is rational, in addition to application of the traditional physico-mechanical methods, to apply the non-destructive control methods, including those based on the magnetic properties of steel, during the entire technological sequence of manufacturing the finished product.
