By sol-gel processing of these precursors the new functionalized xerogels were synthesized and characterized by FTIR, elemental analysis, thermal analysis and adsorption method. Mono- and bifunctionalized xerogels were easily prepared by mixing of precursors in the desired ratios together with tetraethyl orthosilicate.
