The luminescence decay time is increased when LaF₃ or LiF, CdF₂, YF₃ are introduced in the ZпF₂ or MgF₂ samples. The decay time and the kinetic curve shapes of the silicate phosphors are modified due to co-activation (MgF₂, CaF₂, BaF₂ and SrF₂). This is associated with the energy transfer through the conduction zone from the electron traps to the activator ion. |
