Dehydration of alkali metal iodides in vacuum

The behavior of lithium, sodium, and cesium iodides under heating in vacuum has been studied using baric method and spectrometry. Water release into the gas phase has been found to occur from the materials within various temperature ranges. The water release at the alkali metal iodides seems to be c...

Description
Summary:The behavior of lithium, sodium, and cesium iodides under heating in vacuum has been studied using baric method and spectrometry. Water release into the gas phase has been found to occur from the materials within various temperature ranges. The water release at the alkali metal iodides seems to be connected with decomposition of the impurity phase containing hydroxyl groups.
