Описані основні форми та методи краєзнавчої роботи, надані практичні рекомендації по їх проведенню, наведені приклади дослідницької діяльності гуртківців краєзнавчого напрямку в Запорізькій області. The article provides examples of organizing and conducting local history activities in geographical and geological local lore. The basic forms and methods of local lore work are described, practical recommendations on their carrying out are given, examples of research activity of circles of local lore in the Zaporozhye area are given. The author aimed to embody competence education in the construction of local lore work and the implementation of tourist training of club members. Also, a novelty is the introduction of various teaching methods (including modern, geoinformation, etc.) in the activities of the Center for Tourism and local history groups. Training allows you to create favorable conditions for the harmonious development of personality, self-education of students and the formation of vital competencies in them. The priority in the activities of local history groups of the Tourism Center is the use of modern methods and forms, information and computer technology, individual approach during classes. as well as the priority of field research methods. The main methods we use in the activities of clubs: research, expedition (field), cartographic; problem, questionnaire, project, interactive. Conclusions. Thus, the use of local lore material in the study of any subject and extracurricular activities contributes to solving the problems of humanization of education. Thus, theoretical and practical consideration of the possibilities of using local lore in patriotic education of the younger generation is relevant given the complexity of the educational process, taking into account the level of culture of the younger generation and the formation of moral and spiritual values.
