| description | In today's world, the science and high technology are increasingly invading the space of everyday reality, affect the human interaction with the environment, rapidly change the modern society image, enhancing and complicating communication, opening up new opportunities for external and internal resources. The basic features of the current science state in the modern society are considered and summarized, the main reason for the success of which is the rapid development of a new computer technology, the creation of complex and powerful distributed systems or the computing grid infrastructure, provid-ing tools for high-performance computing, quick access to huge data sets, and effective communication. Such a science, known as the "digital science", relies on the use of e-infrastructures, services, and tools for data- and computing-intensive research in virtual and collaborative environments based on ICT in conjunction with the possibilities of openness and collaboration over the Internet. In addition, parts of this electronic infra-structure are unique scientific instruments — heavy duty electron microscopes, particle accelerators, sophisticated medical equipment, etc. New tools and new research methods make it possible not only to conduct research more efficiently, but also to create new areas of science and research, which are more open, more global and common, more creative, and closer to the society. В современном мире наука и высокие технологии все активнее вторгаются в пространство повседневной реальности, влияют на взаимодействие человека с окру-жающей средой, стремительно изменяют образ современного общества, усиливая и усложняя коммуникации, открывают новые возможности использования внешних и внутренних ресурсов. Рассмотрены и обобщены особенности современного состоя-ния науки в обществе, основной причиной успеха которой является быстрое развитие новых компьютерных технологий, приводящих к созданию сложных и мощных распределенных систем или вычислительных грид-инфраструктур, обеспечивающих средства высокопроизводительных вычислений, быстрый доступ к огромным наборам данных и эффективные коммуникации. Такая наука, получившая название "цифровой науки", опирается на использование электронных инфраструктур, на услуги и инструментарий для обработки данных и проведения ресурсоемких исследований в виртуальных и распределенных средах, основанных на ИКТ в сочетании с возмож-ностями открытости и сотрудничества через интернет. Кроме того, составными частями этой электронной инфраструктуры являются уникальные научные инструменты — сверхмощные электронные микроскопы, ускорители элементарных частиц, сложное медицинское оборудование и т.д. Новый инструментарий и новые исследова-тельские методы позволяют не только проводить исследования более эффективно, но и создавать новые направления науки и исследований, которые являются более открытыми, более глобальными и общими, более творческими и более близкими к обществу Рис.: 3. У сучасному світі наука і високі технології все активніше вторгаються у простір повсякденної реальності, впливають на взаємодію людини з навколишнім сере-довищем, стрімко змінюють образ сучасного суспільства, посилюючи і ускладнюю-чи комунікації, відкривають нові можливості використання зовнішніх та внутрішніх ресурсів. Розглянуто та узагальнено особливості сучасного стану науки в суспільстві, основним чинником успіху якої є швидкий розвиток нових комп’ютерних технологій, що призводять до створення складних і потужних розподілених систем або обчислювальних грід-інфраструктур, які забезпечують засоби високопродуктивних обчислень, швидкий доступ до величезних наборів даних та ефективні комунікації. Така наука, що отримала назву "цифрової науки", спирається на використання електронних інфраструктур, на послуги та інструментарій для обробки даних і проведення ресурсномістких досліджень у віртуальних та розподілених середовищах, заснованих на ІКТ у поєднанні з можливостями відкритості та співпраці через інтернет. Крім того, складовими частинами цієї електронної інфраструктури є унікальні наукові інструменти — надпотужні електронні мікроскопи, прискорювачі елементарних частинок, складне медичне обладнання тощо. Новий інструментарій та нові дослідницькі методи дозволяють не тільки проводити дослідження більш ефективно, але і створювати нові напрями науки та досліджень, які є більш відкритими, більш глобальними і загальними, більш творчими і більш близькими до суспільства.
