S. Dichko, A. O. The approach to the control of wastewater treatment process, which is based on the usage of fuzzy sets theory methods, is proposed. To implement the method of expert estimation of membership functions the control rules of choice of the method of increasing process effectiveness and also linguistic variables that characterize treatment process, are defined. Example of membership function formation and heuristics for wastewater biochemical treatment intensification procedures is given. Qualitative monitoring of wastewater biochemical treatment process is proposed to ensure by use of Bayesian theorem with the aim of definition and detailing of reality probability of accepted hypothesis of control process parameters distribution under uncertainty. Предложен подход к управлению процессом очистки сточных вод, который основывается на использовании методов теории нечетких множеств. Для внедрения метода экспертной оценки функций принадлежности определены управляющие правила выбора метода повышения эффективности процесса, а также лингвистические переменные, которые характеризуют процесс очистки. Приведен пример построения функции принадлежности и эвристики для процедур интенсификации биологической очистки воды. Качественный мониторинг процесса биохимической очистки сточных вод предлагается обеспечить путем использования теоремы Байеса с целью определения и уточнения вероятности действительности принятой гипотезы распределения контрольных параметров процесса в условиях неопределенности. Заропоновано підхід до менеджменту процесу очищення стічних вод, який базується на використанні методів теорії нечітких множин. Для запровадження методу експертної оцінки функцій належності визначено керуючі правила з вибору методу підвищення ефективності процесу, а також лінгвістичні змінні, які характеризують процес очищення. Наведено приклад розбудови функції належності та евристики для процедур інтенсифікації біохімічного очищення стоків. Якісний моніторинг процесу біохімічного очищення стічних вод пропонується забезпечити шляхом використання теореми Байєса з метою визначення і уточнення ймовірності дійсності прийнятої гіпотези розподілу контрольних параметрів процесу в умовах невизначеності.
