Summary:The problem on limit equilibrium of a closed elastico-plastic cylindrical shell, weakened by internal crack, in an elastic linear medium is reduced to solution of a system of nonlinear singular integral equation. The solution of the obtained system is constructed jointly with plasticity conditions of thin shells, conditions of stress limitedness, and conditions of displacement uniqueness. The influence of elastic medium, geometric and elastic parameters on the crack opening and the size of plastic zones is studied. Cite as:  T. M.
