Prykladni Problemy Mekhaniky i Matematyky| Резюме: | The aeroelastic behavior of a composite plate-strip in supersonic flows has been investigated using classical and proposed deterministic mathematical flutter models. The physical meaning of the coefficients of the derived characteristic equation has been established. Based on the stability criterion, the critical value of the Mach number for a plate-strip made of fiberglass composite hinged along the elongated edges is determined. The nature of the influence of compliance to transverse shear on the flutter characteristics is revealed. Cite as: V. O.
