A phenomenon of direct and inverse electromagnetic-acoustic transformation in the skin-layer of the source of electromagnetic field is being examined, as a result of which not only noncontact excitation of acoustic disturbance in geo-medium becomes possible but also noncontact obtaining of information on its extinction rate and velocity of propagation. Possibilities of high-resolution sounding systems creation are analyzed, which are electromagnetic by their realization form and acoustic ones by their structure.
