description Magnetic sands are a new object of studies due to possibility of their utilization in many branches of national economy. Experimental magneto-mineralogical studies have been performed for the samples of sand from the Black Sea region, Russia and Egypt which made possible to determine mineralogical composition, magnetic susceptibility of rocks, Curie isotherm etc. Analysis of composition of natural magnetic sands and their magnetic parameters has shown a possibility of their utilization as filling material for filters of water purification.
