Розглянуто прояви глобальної астеносфери на глибині близько 1000 км у даних геотермії, геоелектрики та сейсміки, отриманих за останні 20 років, та їх доповнення останнього часу. Вони являють собою включення глобальної астеносфери у число геосфер, що мають помітну радіогенну теплогенерацію, появу даних про електропровідність порід зони переходу від верхньої мантії до нижньої і відомостей про поширення швидкісних неоднорідностей в діапазоні глибин глобальної астеносфери.
