Перший пов’язаний з так званим передполяницьким розмивом, який відбувся після інверсії флішового басейну седиментації при переході до формування молас. У Бориславсько-Покутському покриві денудація тривала близько 800 тис. років. Наступний етап денудації відбувався під час насувних процесів та по їх завершенні, триває й нині. Загалом за мільйони років осадові відклади регіону зазнали денудації на глибину в декілька кілометрів. S.
