Проанализирована информация о значении этой ортостратиграфической группы для детальной стратификации разноранговых региональных подразделений и их корреляции с Международной стратиграфической шкалою по наннопланктону. Викладено історію вивчення нанопланктону палеогенових відкладів в Україні починаючи з кінця ХІХ ст. Проаналізовано інформацію про значення цієї ортостратиграфічної групи для детальної стратифікації різнорангових регіональних підрозділів та їх кореляцію з Міжнародною стратиграфічною шкалою за нанопланктоном.
