Приведены результаты современных исследований геологии и нефтегазоносности Западного нефтегазоносного региона Украины. Исследования выполнены для Волыно-Подолии, Предкарпатского прогиба, Складчатых (Украинских) Карпат, поднадвига Карпат и Закарпатья. Предложены новые направления геологоразведочных работы на нефть и газ и новое понимание расположения Мармарошского массива и Свентокшиских гор в Польше. Наведено результати сучасних досліджень геології і нафтогазоносності Західного нафтогазоносного регіону України. Дослідження проведено для Волино-Поділля, Передкарпатського прогину, Складчастих (Українських) Карпат, піднасуву Карпат та Закарпаття. Запропоновано нові напрями геологорозвідувальних робіт на нафту і газ та нове розуміння розташування Мармароського масиву і Свєнтокшиських гір.
