| description | In the history of Ukrainian Paleozoic foraminifera research three periods can be clearly defined. First one – the 30’s till the end of the 40’s – beginning of the 50’s of the last century. At this time the research of Late Paleozoic foraminifera of Ukraine and their usage for the purposes of stratigraphy started.The second period is directly associated with the fast growth of drilling activity caused by fossil fuels exploration in the Devonian and Carboniferous deposits. It lasted almost till the end of 90’s of the last century. This period was the most productive for foraminifera and stratigraphic research. It is characterized by construction and ratification of the detailed stratigraphical schemes of the Upper Paleozoic and especially Carboniferous deposits of Donbas, Dnipro-Donetsk, Lviv and Dobrudja Foredeep. In the biostratigraphic part of these schemes foraminifera played the leading role. Significant number of major joint works with description of foraminifera is characteristic of this period.The third period is connected with the substantial diminish of exploration of Upper Paleozoic deposits of Ukraine. This led to the decreasing of research activities on stratigraphy and foraminifera of these rocks. Thus, while at the beginning the number of experts in Paleozoic foraminifera didn’t exceed 7-8 and then grew up to almost 30, at the present time there are no more that 3-4 of them. Biostratigraphic research nowadays is mostly focused on the modernization of existing stratigraphical schemes. |

Первый – с 30-х до конца 40-х – начала 50-х годов прошлого столетия. Это начало изучения позднепалеозойских Ф Украины и использования их для целей стратиграфии.Второй период непосредственно связан с резким ростом объемов бурения в связи с поисками горючих полезных ископаемых в девоне и карбоне страны. Он продолжался почти до середины 90-х годов ХХ ст. Этот период наиболее продуктивный в изучении Ф и стратиграфии. Для него характерно создание и утверждение детальных стратиграфических схем верхнепалеозойских и особенно каменноугольных отложений Донбасса, Днепровско-Донецкой впадины, Львовского и Преддобруджинского палеозойских прогибов. В биостратиграфической части этих схем основную роль играли Ф. В это время опубликовано большое количество крупных коллективных монографий с описанием Ф.Третий период связан с существенным сокращением поисково-разведочных работ в верхнепалеозойских отложениях Украины. Последнее привело к свертыванию работ по изучению стратиграфии и Ф в этих отложениях. Так, если вначале количество специалистов по Ф палеозоя не превышало 7-8, затем выросло до 30, то в настоящее время их насчитывается 3-4 (?). Перший – з 30-х до кінця 40-х – початку 50-х років минулого сторіччя. Це початок вивчення пізньо палеозойських Ф України та використання їх для цілей стратиграфії.Другий період пов’язаний з різким зростом обсягів буріння у зв’язку з пошуками горючих корисних копалин у девоні і карбоні. Він продовжувався майже до середини 90-х років ХХ ст. Цей період найбільш продуктивний у вивченні Фта стратиграфії. Для нього характерне створення і затвердження детальних стратиграфічних схем верхньопалеозойських і особливо кам’яновугільних відкладів Донбасу, Дніпровсько-Донецької западини, Львівського та Перед добрудзького палеозойського прогинів. В біостратиграфічній частині цих схем основну роль відігравали Ф. В цей час була опублікована велика кількість колективних монографій з описом Ф.На третій період припадає суттєве скорочення пошуково-розвідувальних робіт у верхньо - палеозойських відкладах України. Останнє призвело до зменшення робіт з вивчення стратиграфії та Ф у цих відкладах. Так, якщо спочатку кількість спеціалістів з Фпалеозою не була більше 7-8, потім зросла до 30, то в теперішній час їх налічується 3-4 (?). Біостратиграфічні роботи наразі спрямовані в основному на модернізацію наявних стратиграфічних схем.
