Geological journal| Summary: | New data about paleontological composition of Neogene deposits of Borisphen gulf (the Southern Ukraine, Zaporozhian and Cherssonian regions) are adduced. The Middle-, Upper Miocene and Pliocene presence is confirmed by macro- and microfauna; the Lower Miocene deposits (Mayachkian suite) have not fauna in situ. Two kinds of marine Neogene geological sections (Northern-Western and Southern-Eastern) are established; they are different each from other by stratigraphical volumes and deposited depths. The biostratigraphical scheme of Neogene deposits of Borisphen gulf is presented. |
