For the first time the deltaic type of peat accumulation is determined. Composition, structure and depositional environments of the subaeral part of the delta, containing the coal seam, are described. The peculiarities of coal seam forming in the deltaic environments and significant influence of the river channels, tributaries and branching on this process are characterized. The most favourable conditions for the coal seam ʋ 6 forming occurred within the preestuary parts of the subbaeral delta, which are located in the areas between the channels within the large paleogeographic systems, as well as in the internal part of the Lviv tectonic depression (Zabuzke, Mezhyrichynske fields). |
