Description
Summary:The paper presents the new methodological approaches to use multispectral satellite data for the classification of ground cover at regions with risk of unfavorable hydrological and hydrogeological conditions. The Polesie region ofUkraineis an example. The model for describing the effects of flooding and waterlogging on the morphological structure of the landscape, especially its quantitative characteristics is proposed. The solution of the risk assesstment process to waterlogging for point objects is presented. The conclusions suggest the way of risk assessment process on the basis of satellite monitoring data.
