Description
Summary:The results of stratigraphic and sedimentological investigating Eocene deposits of the Krosno (Silesian) nappe (Ukrainian Carpathians) are represented. There where distinguished four biostratigraphic unit - beds with Recurvoides smugarensis (Lower Eocene), beds with Reticulophragmium amplectens (lower part of Middle Eocene), beds with Ammodiscus latus (upper part of Middle Eocene), beds with Reticulophragmium rotunditdorsatum (lower part of Upper Eocene). According to our sedimentological and micropaleontological analyses Eocene sedimentation occurred mainly in deep-water bathyal-abyssal conditions.
