THE ADVANCES OF EXPLORATION FOR PETROLEUM IN THE AFRICA’S CONTINENTAL SLOPE

In the Africa’s continental slope, there are 200 deepwater (205-2479 m) oil and gas fields. Their initial total reserves are equal to 3973,5 million tones of oil and 1034,6 billion m3 of natural gas at the depth of 1028 to 6118 m in the Cenozoic and Cretaceous age turbiditic sands and sandstones....
