| description | The main stages of the formation and development of engineering-geological research as a part of the geological research in the system of the Earth Sciences of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, their importance and main tasks are considered. In the first stage (20-30s of XX century), the research was carried out as a geological investigation for the construction and implementation of anti-landslide measures in urban areas. In the second stage (30-40s of XX century), engineering-geological researches were conducted for substantiation of hydrotechnical and hydro-amelioration construction (the cascade of the Dnieper reservoirs, etc.). Since 1991, the object of engineering-geological research adopted the geological environment as part of the lithosphere which was influenced by human activity. The characteristic of the main thematic directions of the Department for these years is given, the projects of restoration of objects of historical and architectural heritage are considered in detail. The directions of further researches and their forming factors are offered. |

Рассмотрены основные этапы становления и развития инженерно-геологических исследований как составной части геологических в системе наук о Земле НАН Украины, их значение и основные задачи. На первом этапе (20-30-е годы ХХ ст.) исследования выполняли как геологическое обоснование строительства и проведения противооползневых мероприятий на городских территориях. На втором этапе (30-40-е годы ХХ ст.) инженерно-геологические исследования проводили для обоснования гидротехнического и гидромелиоративного строительства (каскад Днепровских водохранилищ и др.). Начиная с 1991 г. объектом инженерно-геологических исследований принято геологическую среду как часть литосферы, подвергшуюся воздействию хозяйственной деятельности. Дана характеристика основных тематических направлений отдела за эти годы, подробно рассмотрены проекты восстановления объектов историко-архитектурного наследия. Предложены направления дальнейших исследований и факторы, которые их формируют. Розглянуто основні етапи становлення і розвитку інженерно-геологічних досліджень як складової частини геологічних у системі наук про Землю НАН України, їх значення та основні завдання. На першому етапі (20-30-ті роки ХХ ст.) дослідження виконували як геологічне обґрунтування будівництва і проведення протизсувних заходів на міських територіях. На другому етапі (30-40-ті роки ХХ ст.) інженерно-геологічні дослідження проводили для обґрунтування гідротехнічного і гідромеліоративного будівництва (каскад Дніпровських водосховищ та ін.). Починаючи з 1991 р. об’єктом інженерно-геологічних досліджень прийнято геологічне середовище як частину літосфери, що зазнала впливу господарської діяльності. Подано характеристику головних тематичних напрямів відділу за ці роки, детально розглядаються проекти відновлення об’єктів історико-архітектурної спадщини. Запропоновано напрями подальших досліджень та фактори, що їх формують.
