Summary:The most important activity results of the Department of Geology of Minerals of the IGN NAS of Ukraine for the period from 1990 to 2018 years are represented in this paper. The mass of geological, geophysical, geochemical and metallogenical information of territory of Ukraine and the World have been investigated and generalized by the department. These studies have proven that Ukraine has a strong mineral-raw material base and belongs to the most significant countries of the world in terms of mineral resource potential. The development directions and primary research of the department for the near future have been determined.
