Description
Summary:This paper contains the results of the subsurface surveys of the Obolon Impact Structure including thermometric, emanations (radon/toron), gasometric (carbon dioxide, helium, hydrogen), gas survey on the hydrocarbons (methane and its derivatives) as well as the interpretation of space images. Besides methane that was recognized before, microconcentrations of its heavy homologues (from ethane to butane) have been found in the subsoil air that is an additional argument to its petroleum potential. Proceeding from the subsurface fluid-geodynamic features the primary conclusions are made about the most promising locations.
