Description
Summary:Many-sided use of salt massifs geological environment is in progress in the world practice. Nevertheless up to now a number of the issues of human made interference in rock salt massifs connected with in different engineering purposes have not been solved yet. Emergency situations arise often enough as a result of exploitation of rock salt bodies. Sometimes accidents have negative ecological consequences. The emergency situation has taken place at Solotvino rock salt deposit; it was developing intensively during the last several years and has been resulted in full shutdown of salt mine and speleosanatorium of Ukrainian allergic hospital. The accident defines by the specialists as human made ecocatastrophe. In this paper the systematization of geological environment disturbances resulted by human made impact upon salt massifs has been presented, the main causes factors and mechanisms were reflected. The possibilities of geological medium management have been regarded.
