It covers fundamental and applied issues in petroleum and gas geology, as well as general and regional geology and resource studies, which focus on the search for and exploration of oil and gas, and were conducted at the Institute of Geological Sciences of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. |

Висвітлено основні наукові напрями досліджень, найвагоміші наукові здобутки, роль у розвитку літології, геології нафти та газу, сучасної концепції нафтидогенезу, вчення про дегазацію Землі та ін. Наведено аспекти фундаментальних і прикладних проблем нафтогазової геології, загальної та регіональної геології, ресурсології, спрямовані на пошук і розвідку родовищ нафти та газу, які виконувались в Інституті геологічних наук НАН України.
