Description
Summary: Described state of taking into account of residual and trapped light petroleum product saturations (LPP) demonstrates inconsistency and the fact that it was not considered for groundwater table fluctuations (WT). We based on both physical modeling and theoretical substantiation, the following facts were established: – a total residual saturation and residual water and LPP saturations have parabolic relationship from initial water and LPP saturations for draining a LPP-water system; – during natural water table raise LPP (kerosene) moves no higher than 10 cm and trapped in a capillary zone; – during initial and following water table lowering after mobile LPP layer accumulation, residual LPP content is different and methods for its determination are described.
