South-Ukrainian NPP unit 1 (VVER-1000/V-302) is the next step in gaining long term operation experience in Ukraine (appropriate decision was taken in 2012). In both cases, the decision was preceded by many-year comprehensive activities performed by the Utility, Regulator and national and international scientific and technical support organizations, which were involved in safety substantiation from the Utility and Regulator sides. Энергетической стратегией Украины на период до 2030 года предусмотрено, что срок эксплуатации более половины действующих энергоблоков АЭС будет продлен на период, превышающий проектный на 10 лет. Первыми «пилотными» энергоблоками, срок эксплуатации которых был продлен, стали энергоблоки №№ 1 и 2 Ровенской АЭС (ВВЭР-440/В-213). Энергоблок № 1 Южно-Украинской АЭС (ВВЭР-1000/В-302) стал следующим, для которого в 2012 году было принято решение о продлении срока его эксплуатации. В обоих случаях принятию решения предшествовал многолетний кропотливый труд эксплуатирующей организации, Госатомрегулирования и организаций научно-технической поддержки — как национальных, так и международных, привлеченных к подготовке соответствующих обоснований безопасности и проведения их экспертизы (технической оценки). Енергетичною стратегією України на період до 2030 року передбачено, що строк експлуатації більше половини діючих енергоблоків АЕС буде продовжено на період, що перевищує проектний на 10 років.
