Zusammenfassung:The mitred father Yevhen Tyt Stolobut Voynarovsky, the Galician priest. lived at the end of the XIX – the beginning of the XX century. Among other representatives of the priesthood he had been characterized by the extreme liking of a hard work and the real effi ciency. Father Tyt spared no efforts in raising of the level of spirituality of his parishioners, and at the same time, he paid a lot of attention to the development of education in the country and to the improvement of the economic conditions of the Ukrainian peasantry. With the purpose to provide the peasants with the land he was engaged in the parceling i.e. he bought big land plots from the landlords, and then he divided them into smaller parts and sold to the peasants. O. Voynarovsky founded the society “Zemlya” as well as land mortgage bank in Lviv. All in all the priest parted over 37 000 morgs of the fi eld. Thanks to this, more than 100 000 of the rural families could by the land plots.
