Status and generic limits of Otites and Dorycera are preliminary discussed. Описан Otites cretana Kameneva, sp. n. с Крита (хребет Псилоритис). Новый вид внешне напоминает Otites nebulosa (Latreille, 1812) и Dorycera persica Hennig, 1939 сочетанием очень высоких щёк и короткой антенны, отличаясь от всех известных Otitini утолщенной костальной жилкой (у самца), извилистой жилкой R2+3, утратой глазковых щетинок и наличием 3 пар коротких щитковых щетинок.
