Семейство Aeolothripidae (Thysanoptera, Terebrantia) было известно из Ирана по семнадцати видам из четырех родов. Впервые для фауны Ирана отмечены четыре вида: Aeolothrips albicinctus Haliday, A. cursor Priesner, A. montivagus Priesner и A. gloriosus Bagnall.
