Within the military slang, one may distinguish between the slang of the Navy, of the Air-Force, of the Marine Corpse, and the ground troops. Within each of these, several other social dialects also exist. The role of mass-media in promoting the military slang is becoming crucially important, which has to do both with growing technologies and the informational warfare strategy.
