The Science and Innovation Journal publishes articles and
brief communications on R&D activities, promising busi-
ness- and innovation projects, know-how, research, enginee-
ring, and thematic materials, announcements on conferenc-
es, specialized exhibitions, as well as on publishing of scien-
tific literature.
The Scope of Journal Subject
1. General questions of cutting-edge research and inno-
vation policy;
2. Research framework of innovative activities;
3. Research, design, and engineering innovation projects
of the National Academy of Science of Ukraine;
4. World of innovation; and
5. Legal protection of intellectual property.
Manuscript Complete Set
The manuscript should be submitted in two copies (in Uk-
rai nian, Russian or English).
It should be accompanied by:
CD or floppy disk with text file and files containing il-
lustrations;
Cover letter, signed by the head of organization where
the research has been done;
Copyright transfer agreement (the agreement form can be
obtained from the Editorial Office or the Journal’s site).
MANUSCRIPT
PREPARATION GUIDELINES
The title page should be submitted in Ukrainian, Rus-
sian, and English and should include:
1. Article title, the name(s) and initials of the author(s);
2. The affiliation(s) and full postal address(es) of the
author(s), their phone and fax numbers, e-mail address;
3. Abstract (up to 100 words);
4. Up to eight keywords.
The text should be typed in 12 pt with double spacing on
A4 paper. The title, as well as the section headings should be
typed in bold capital letters.
The formulas should be typed in appropriate editor. The
papers with formulas written by hand will be rejected. It is
necessary to give definitions of values and abbreviations
mentioned in the text for the first time.
Instructions for Authors
The tables should be presented on separate pages. They
should be typed using appropriate editors. The use of pseu-
dographic symbols is not allowed.
The references should be numbered according to the or-
der of their citing in the text. The references of unpublished
and uncompleted works are not allowed. The titles of arti-
cles, monographs, proceedings, materials of meetings, ab-
stracts of reports and thesis, preprints should be written
completely. The name, year, volume and issue number of edi-
tion, first and last page should be indicated for referred arti-
cle; publisher’s place (city) and name, publication year and
total number of pages should be indicated for monograph.
The captions of figures and tables should be typed after
references.
The figures should be printed on separate papers with the
maximum size of 160 × 200 mm. The text in figures should be
10 pt. The measurement units in graphs should be typed us-
ing comma (in Ukrainian and Russian version).
All the figures should be numbered as they appear in the
text, the figure’s parts should be noted by letters — a, b etc.
The figures should be marked on the reverse side with the
paper’s title, author(s) name and number, «up» orientation
should be marked by arrow.
Total content of the theses should be up to 2 pages (and
up to 2 figures); the brief communications should contain up
to 5 pages (and up to 5 figures); the articles should consist of
up to 20 pages (and up to 10 figures).
Requirements to electronic submission
1. The electronic copy on CD (floppy disk) should be pre-
sented simultaneously with the hard copy of the article and
illustrations.
2. The manuscripts should be submitted as MS Word files.
3. The illustrations are accepted in EPS and TIFF for-
mats with a resolution of at least 300 dpi.
4. The photographs should be presented in TIFF format
with a resolution of at least 300 dpi.
5. The captions and texts in graphic files should be in
«curve» format.
The submitting author or customer of materials is res pon-
sible for the reliability of information published in the Journal.
