Electrolytic properties of sulfidic ceramics on the base of calcuim thiogadolinate and barium thiosamarate

A regular research of phases on the basis of Ca(Ba)Gd(Sm)₂S₄—Gd(Sm)₂S₃(BaS) using various electrochemical methods has been carried out. The area of solid solutions, electrolytic temperature interval, average ion transfer numbers and electron transfer numbers have been determined. The structures havi...

Zusammenfassung:A regular research of phases on the basis of Ca(Ba)Gd(Sm)₂S₄—Gd(Sm)₂S₃(BaS) using various electrochemical methods has been carried out. The area of solid solutions, electrolytic temperature interval, average ion transfer numbers and electron transfer numbers have been determined. The structures having the best electrolytic properties are established. The conductivity nature of solid electrolyte on the basis of barium thiosamarate and calcium thiogadolinate has been investigated. The data obtained allow to consider phases Ca(Ba)Gd(Sm)₂S₄—Gd(Sm)₂S₃(BaS) as ionic conductors. The possible mechanism of defect formation is proposed.
