The Conference in Ring Theory dedicated to the 70
th anniversary of
Professor Miguel Ferrero was held from 25 to 27 of Sepetember of 2008 in
Porto Alegre, Brazil. The Organizing Committee consisted of Ada Maria
de Souza Doering (Porto Alegre, Brazil), Antonio Paques (Porto Ale-
gre, Brazil), Alveri Alves Sant’Ana (Porto Alegre, Brazil), Alvino Alves
Sant’Ana (Porto Alegre, Brazil), Cydara Cavedon Ripoll (Porto Alegre,
Brazil), Luisa Rodriguez Doering (Porto Alegre, Brazil), Maria de Lour-
des Merlini Giuliani (Santa Maria, Brazil) and Wagner de Oliveira Cortes
(Porto Alegre, Brazil); whereas the Scientific Committee was composed
by Alveri Alves Sant’Ana (Coordinator), Antonio Paques (Porto Alegre,
Brazil), Francisco César Polcino Milies (São Paulo, Brazil), Ivan Shes-
takov (São Paulo, Brazil), Plamen Kochloukov (Campinas, Brazil), Said
Sidki (Braśılia, Brazil) e Yves Lequain (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil). The
meeting consisted of 50 minutes lectures, 25 minutes talks and posters,
counting with approximately 70 participants including professors and stu-
dents.
