Серед різноманітних форм античного скляного посуду для пиття в Північному Причорномор'ї виділяється група чаш-фіал ІІ —ІІІ ст. з гравірованим і шліфованим орнаментом. Тут проаналізовано фрагменти такого посуду, знайдені в Ольвії на території римської цитаделі, які зберігаються в Наукових фондах Інституту археології НАНУ. Розглянуто також питання технологічних прийомів виготовлення фіал. Розповсюдження та активне користування фіалами співпадає з активізацією торгівельних зв'язків, економічним піднесенням Ольвії у другій половині ІІ — першій половині ІІІ ст. і перебуванням у місті римського гарнізону. Among numerous shapes of Ancient Greek glass drinking vessels from the Northern Black Sea Coast, the group of bowls-phials with engraved and polished ornamentation (2nd—3rd centuries AD) could be distinguished. The fragments of mentioned vessels, which were found on the territory of Roman garrison in Olbia and stored in the Scientific Repository of the Institute of Archaeology NASU, are examined in this research. In addition, the technological process of their manufacturing is closely analysed. Wide distribution and active application of phials concurred with intensification of trading communications and economic advancement of the period from the second half of the 2nd century AD to the first half of the 3rd century AD and the Roman garrison’s residence in Olbia.
