Стаття присвячена дослідженню художньої рецепції України в чеській прозі ХХ – початку ХХІ
 століть. З'ясовуються особливості ментального сприйняття й художнього прочитання пов'язаних
 з Україною образів і мотивів у контексті історичної та сучасної чесько-української міжнаціональної
 та міжкультурної взаємодії. Із застосуванням низки компаративістичних принципів аналізуються
 ключові українські теми та характер їх відображення в історії чеського прозопису ХХ століття:
 тема Закарпаття 30-х років, тема еміграції та рееміграції “волинських чехів”, тема заробітчанства.
 З цією метою розглядається низка різножанрових творів Я. Гашека, І. Ольбрахта, П. Гулової,
 інших письменників. The paper investigates the literary reception of Ukraine in the Czech prose of the 20th - early 21st
 centuries. Such peculiarities as mental perception and literary interpretation of images and motives
 connected with Ukraine have been described in the context of historical and modern Czech-Ukrainian
 interethnic and intercultural relations. Based on a number of comparative principles, the researcher
 analyzes the key Ukrainian themes and the nature of their refl ection in the Czech prose of the 20th
 century. These are the theme of Transcarpathia in the 1930s, the theme of emigration and reemigation
 of the Volyn Czechs, the theme of migrant workers. A range of works in different genres written by
 the authors of the interwar twenty years, as well as M. Stryjová, E. Kriseová, M. Viewegh, P. Hůlová
 and others, have been taken into consideration. The paper also traces and summarizes the traditions
 of studying and translating literary ukrainica by Czech scholars and translators with respect to the
 current state and the prospects of further studies. It was found that the biggest attention in Ukrainian
 and Czech literary studies was paid to the research of the Czech ucrainica of the 19th and early
 20th centuries and the Czech-Ukrainian literary relations of this period. A special emphasis is placed
 on the loyalty of J. Hašek, K. Čapek, V. Vančura, Ivan Olbracht to the universal ethical values and
 ideas of humanism in the ethnocultural images of Ukrainians. Instead, the Czech prose of the late
 20th century and early 21st century which raised the issues of the Volhynian Czechs and Ukrainian
 labor migrants in the Czech Republic remained beyond the attention of translators and critics. The
 author tried to consider the works of contemporary Czech writers about Ukraine and Ukrainians in the
 imagological perspective. It provides a new look at the literary image of Ukrainians in the paradigm
 of the Own and the Foreign. Статья посвящена исследованию художественной
 рецепции Украины в чешской прозе ХХ – начала ХХI веков.
 Выясняются особенности ментального восприятия и
 художественного прочтения связанных с Украиной образов
 и мотивов в контексте исторического и современного
 межнационального и межкультурного взаимодействия.
 С использованием ряда компаративистических принципов
 анализируются ключевые украинские темы и характер
 их отражения в истории чешской прозы ХХ века: тема
 Закарпатья 30-х годов, тема эмиграции и реэмиграции
 “волынских чехов”, тема трудовой миграции украинцев.
 С этой целью рассматриваются произведения разных
 жанров Я. Гашека, И. Ольбрахта, П. Гуловой, других
 писателей.
