У статті висвітлено особливості родоводу давньоруської князівни Марії-Добронеги (бл.1015/17–1087), запропоновано нову гіпотезу її походження, а також розглянуто обставини династичного шлюбу Марії та князя-правителя Польщі Казимира І Відновителя (1016–1058). В статье освещены особенности родовода древнерусской княжны Марии–Добронеги (ок. 1015/17–1087), предложена новая гипотеза её происходжения, а также рассмотрено обстоятельства династического брака Марии и короля Польши Казимира І Восстановителя (1016–1058). The Article enlightens the peculiarities of genealogy of the Old-Rus’ princess Maria–Dobroneha (ca 1015/17–1087), propounds the new hypothesis of her origin and reviews the circumstances of dynastic marriage between Maria and governing duke of Poland Kazimierz the Restorer (1016–1058). The genealogical reconstruction represented in the article shows the origin of Maria-Dobronega to be connected with Bulgarian, Byzantine, German, English and Rus’ ancestry. According to our hypothesis Maria-Dobronega was the daughter of St. Borys – the son of Volodymyr the Great and his Bulgarian wife. The article substantiates the hypothesis of the Bulgarian princess origin as the daughter of Tsar Boris II (ca 929–971) – the descendant of tsars of Bulgaria and imperators of Byzantium. On the base of the Medieval sources (Genealogia Welforum, Historia Welforum Weingartensis etc.) and modern researches (by A. Wolf and others) the article proposes the arguments that Maria-Dobronega originated from Boris Volodymyrovych in his marriage with the German Margravine – the descendant of Otto I the Great (912–973) – the imperator of Holy Roman Empire and his wife – English princess Eadytha (910–946) – the daughter of the king of England Edward the Elder (ca 874–924). In her marriage with the duke Kazimierz the Restorer Maria-Dobronega became the ancestor of all the future rulers of Polish state. The governing couple is famous as the founders of monasteries and abbeys (in Tyniec, Mogilno etc), the important objects of Polish Medieval culture.
