У статті розглянуто механізм проведення мобілізаційних заходів у 1914-1917 рр. на території Полтавської губернії, визначено їх законодавчу базу. Проаналізовано статистичні показники призовів новобранців у регіоні. Особливу увагу приділено дослідженню ставлення населення Полтавщини до мобілізаційних заходів періоду Першої світової війни. During the last decade, scientists have intensified the study of various aspects of the history of the First World War, both at the global and regional levels. At the same time, the mobilization of the male population of the Ukrainian provinces of the Russian Empire in 1914-1917, the mechanism of their conduct, quantitative indicators, the impact on the provincial society, etc., are not often the subject of historical studies. In most of the works of historians, the mobilization measures of the First World War are considered only as the main factor disrupting the economic life of the country. Among regional studies of recent years the only example of Bessarabia province mobilization is examined in details, and the same investigations based on the materials of the provinces of Naddniprianska Ukraine were not conducted. It determines the relevance of this work. In the article the mechanism of carrying mobilization measures out in 1914-1917 on the territory of the Poltava province is considered, their legislative base is determined. The statistical indicators of rewards recruits in the region are analyzed. Particular attention is paid to the study of the attitude of the population of Poltava region to the mobilization measures during the period of the First World War.
