Comparative analysis of morphology, ornamentation and technological peculiarities of vessels of different categories (mugs, jugs, ewer-shaped vessel, dippers, scoops, goblets) and their space - period distribution enable us to draw the following conclusions. The initial period of the penetration of the patterns of North Caucasian ceramics dates back to the turn of the eras. It is connected with the infiltration of the Sarmatians not from the tem'tory of the Bosporus Kingdom but from the north - from the regions of the Dnieper - Azov through the Perekop isthmus.
