История появления и утверждения христианства в Херсонесе имеет обширную историографию. Являясь одним из основных аспектов его ранневизантийской истории, эта тема, в той или иной степени, привлекала и продолжает привлекать внимание исследователей Херсонеса позднеантичного и раннесредневековопо времени. The process of conversion to Christianity of the population of Chersonesos is one of the main aspects of its late antique and early medieval history. Many scientific works are devoted to its research; some of them contain more or less complete concepts of the initial period of Christianity in Chersonesos. Nevertheless, despite the fact that this problem is thoroughly studied there are many contradictions and still unsolved problems. It can be clearly seen in various points of view of the researchers on the development of the process of conversion to Christianity as a whole. The author gives her own conception on the history of conversion to Christianity of the population of Chersonesos basing on the sources and the latest scientific works by our and foreign scholars in this field.
