The algorithm includes the identification of ''critical'' populations and deleterious environmental factors, consideration of action characteristics (acute or chronic ones), assessment of the influence of other environmental factors, estimation of the reproductive contribution of specimens on the basis of the cytogenetic analysis of a posterity, and assessment of the potential reduction of the effective size of a population and its adaptive potential.
