Розглянуто поздовжнi вiбрацiї неоднорiдної балки з затуханням типу Кельвiна – Войта, розподiленим вздовж балки. Встановлено, що розв’язки мають експоненцiальне затухання, i знайдено явний вигляд експоненцiального зменшення енергiї. Результат отримано безпосереднiм розглядом енергiї у формi функцiонала Ляпунова без використання частотної областi з теорiї напiвгруп.
