У статті досліджуються головні риси малої прози Юліяна Мовчана. Зокрема, студіюється мілітарний дискурс письменника, окреслюються смислові домінанти, вивчаються формальні та змістові складники творів, специфіка характеротворення, з’ясовується роль і значення найменувань, образів-символів у текстовій організації. Особливу увагу звернено на ідіостиль автора. Досліджено, що мала проза Юліяна Мовчана презентує виміри життя у мілітарному дискурсі. У збірці репрезентовано малі епічні жанри (новела, оповідання, гумореска), що детермінують формально- змістову організацію тексту. Автор використовує обрамлення, аби утворити часову проекцію за допомогою ретроспективи. The article deals with the peculiarities of the small prose of Yuliyan Movchan. The research investigates the military discourse of the writer, formal and substantive, conceptual levels of the text’s organization, the role and the sense of the titles. It clarifies the specific of character’s creation and symbolism in his stories. The study pays particular attention to author’s individual style. It is proved that the small prose of Yuliyan Movchan presents the dimensions of life in the military discourse. The collected volume represents small epic genres (novel, story, humoresque), which determine formal-contextual organization of the text. The author uses the framing to create the time projection with the help of retrospective.
